JMU VALOR (VALOR) is our version of a USO—a welcoming space where military-connected students find community and belonging. It’s more than a space—it’s a resource hub for veterans, active-duty service members, reservists, and dependents of an active-duty person or veteran. VALOR is located on the second floor of the Student Success Center (SSC). You can study, relax, and build meaningful relationships while enjoying comfy seating, and even a massage chair.
We prioritize your success through access to resources, programs, and events designed to foster community and promote well-being. VALOR collaborates with the Counseling Center, Career Center, and other campus partners to bring you programming and events that support your academic, personal, and professional growth.
