    1. 5th Field Company - Royal Canadian Engineers

      A memorial to those who served in the 5th Field Company, and who gave their lives in both World Wars. In 1909 Queen’s University was the first Canadian university to form an officially recognized military unit, comprising engineering students and faculty; the 5th Field Company. The 5th Field Company was deployed in both World Wars, and many of them gave their lives. The plinth is a memorial to that sacrifice, and contains information about the Company.

      The plinth is located at the intersection of Union Street and Fifth Field Company Lane.
