Richardson Hall is on University avenue, across from Ontario Hall. The Office of Indigenous Initiatives is located within the Office of the Provost and Vice-President (academic), on the third floor of Richardson Hall, in room 353. This floor is accessible by elevator on the east side of the building and can also be accessed through the 4th floor of the B Wing of Mackintosh-Corry Hall.
The accessible entrance is located at the back of the building. Accessible washrooms are available on each floor of Richardson Hall.
This office was implemented in 2017 as a recommendation of the Queen's Truth and Reconciliation Task Force. The main goals of this office are to build community, advance reconciliation, and integrate indigenous ways of knowing and being into the fabric and life of the university. The office is responsible for coordinating initiatives that support other recommendations of the Task Force and facilitating relationships with students, staff and faculty and local Indigenous communities.
