         • Ceremonial entrance to the heart of SMU’s campus, it extends south from the SMU Flagpole on the Main Quad to Mockingbird Lane. 
           
         • Named for the Rev. Horace Bishop, SMU’s first chair of the Board of Trustees.
           
         • Site of beloved Hilltop traditions such as Boulevarding (SMU’s take on tailgating before home football games).
