  1. Outdoor Reservable Spaces

    1. Dallas Hall Lawn North

      Complete an outdoor reservation request AND an outdoor event request to reserve this space for an event. See the Event Management website for detailed instructions.

      VEHICLE ACCESS FOR LOADING AND UNLOADING IS LIMITED. USE OF RESERVED PARKING SPACES AND FIRE LANES IS PROHIBITED.

      Recommended Usage
      Note: Ground stakes NO LONGER than 18 inches, or weighted ballast (water barrels, sandbags) must be used to secure tents, inflatables, etc.


       

      FIRE PIT REQUIREMENTS:

      • The fire pit must be of sound engineering and construction; generally, a store-bought fire pit in good condition meets these requirements.
      • The fire pit must be equipped with a spark arrester when in use.
      • The fire pit must be 15 feet away from a structure or combustible material.
      • The maximum diameter of a fire pit shall be three (3) feet unless approved by the University Parks Fire Marshall office and SMU Office of Risk Management.
      • The fire pit must be constantly attended until the fire is extinguished.
      • At least one (1) portable fire extinguisher with a minimum 4-A rating or other approved (by the Office of Risk Management) on-site fire-extinguishing equipment, such as dirt, sand, water barrel, garden hose, shall be available for immediate utilization.


      Electrical Outlet Locations

      • 4 electrical outlets in 4 locations 
      • Locations 1 & 2 inside locked access panel
      1. Both locations are 20 amps
      2. Extension cords will be
        accessible through the panel
      • Locations 3 & 4  on Dallas Hall steps
      1. Both locations are 16 amps

      Hose Bibb Locations

      • A total of 3 hose bibbs as pictured

      Locations 2 & 3 are located behind tree hedges against Dallas Hall


      Notify Facilities prior to using hose bibb; their assistance is required.
