        The Maureen and Mike Mansfield Library is committed to providing wide access to material it has acquired in the past and using rapidly changing technology to deliver the information needs of the future.


        The UM library has occupied several buildings since the first library was established in 1895. Construction on the current building began in 1970 and was completed in 1978. 

        Accessibility
        Accessible Entrances: The main entrance is located on the north side of the building directly across from the University Center. It is accessible and has automatic door opener on both the exterior and interior doors. 

         

        Elevators: Elevator access is provided to all floors of the building. The two banks of elevators are to the left of the entrance and through a doorway. The two elevators are located to the left and right of the stairway.

         

        Restrooms: Accessible restrooms are located on all floors.

        Parking: Accessible parking is located in the University Center parking lot and on the ground floor of the parking garage.
