The OSU Student Farm is an innovative project at Oklahoma State University that serves as an outdoor classroom with a mission to feed the community sustainably. Located west of campus on Highway 51, the farm was established to provide students with hands-on experience in agricultural production while addressing local food insecurity. Originally built in 1920 as the swine barn, the farm grows various fruits and vegetables, including broccoli, spinach, lettuce, onions, and more, which are delivered to Our Daily Bread Food and Resource Center in Stillwater. The Student Farm also utilizes buried irrigation to prevent water waste and plans to expand its operations to include additional fields and renovated facilities. This initiative aligns with OSU's focus on the One Health initiative, promoting a healthy lifestyle and contributing to the university's efforts to address the United Nations' Sustainable Development Goal of Zero Hunger.
