          Year Built: 2009

          The largest botanical garden in the Southeast, the North Carolina Botanical Garden (off U.S. 15-501) encompasses 700 acres of preserved land, featuring formal display gardens as well as natural areas, nature trails, carnivorous plant collections, herb gardens and more.
