The Leo D. Mahoney Arena is an 85,000 square foot facility located at the center of Fairfield’s campus. With seating for 3,500 spectators, it is home to Fairfield Basketball and Volleyball and also hosts concerts, University celebrations, and other major events. The $51 million arena was made possible entirely through the generosity of donors and was built on the former site of Alumni Hall.
Designed to create an exciting and welcoming experience, Mahoney Arena features comfortable seating, open concourses, and advanced broadcast and media technology. Fifteen LED displays throughout the arena help bring games and events to life for fans.
The arena also supports Fairfield’s student athletes with dedicated locker rooms, a film room, a team lounge, and athletic training facilities. The upper concourse includes The Diffley, a premium club space with cushioned seating, a private bar, and a comfortable lounge overlooking the court.
