          Established in 1927, Chihuahuan Desert Rangeland Research Center (College Ranch) is the only livestock grazing-oriented Agricultural Science Center. This ASC is uniquely able to assist ranchers with cattle genetic selection and herd size, considering issues of significance for arid rangelands (e.g., drought, forage scarcity, natural resource management.) This ASC is the largest ASC, spanning over 62,000 acres, and has been the focus of long-term studies (over 80 years of data) on rangeland changes. This ASC leases its land from the Bureau of Land Management can be found in Las Cruces, NM in Dona Ana County.
