Sustainable Agriculture Science Center at Alcalde Property
Established in 1952, The Sustainable Agriculture Science Center at Alcalde is the only ASC located within the historic Acequia irrigation community of northern New Mexico. This Science Center at has certified organic land, and is the only research center that studies fruit trees. This science center also focuses on the needs of small-scale producers and high value crops that grow at high elevations. The property spans over about 61 acres, and is owned by NMSU. This ASC is located in Alcalde, NM in Rio Arriba County.
