Garcia Hall (1968) is a patio-style residence hall that holds approximately 800 students each academic year. Serving as the university's primary first-year facility, Garcia Hall offers plenty of opportunities for new students to connect to the campus. Garcia Hall is home to various living learning communities. Also located in Garcia Hall, La Vista Learning Center is a recently completed 10,000 square foot academic support area featuring two state-of-the-art classrooms, study areas, computer labs, faculty and academic advising spaces, and cyber café. Intentionally built to support the freshman year experience, this space provides a myriad of activities focused on assisting first year students with the college transition.
