Fairfield University entered a partnership with Brooklawn Country Club in Fairfield as the home of the Stags’ men’s and women’s golf teams beginning in the fall of 2017. The Stags utilize Brooklawn’s 6,800-yard championship golf course, practice range, and other amenities for team practices. Brooklawn Country Club has also been the home of the Fairfield Athletics Hall of Fame Golf Outing since the spring of 2016.
Founded in 1895, and one of the very first clubs to be recognized by the United States Golf Association, Brooklawn is the only club in Connecticut to have hosted four USGA national championships including the 1974 Junior Amateur, 1979 U.S. Women's Open, 1987 U.S. Senior Open, and 2003 Girls' Junior Championship.
