      1. Charles Strickland Central Plant

This building was constructed in 1966 at a cost of about $775,000. The university felt that they would save $24,000/year by putting in the new plant.

This building was named in honor of Charles Strickland, who was a Physical Plant director for New Mexico State for 45 years. NMSU generates and maintains its own utilities, and the Central Plant generates electricity for the campus.
