      1. Clara Belle Williams Hall

         Clara Belle Williams Hall (formerly known as the English Building), was built in 1981. It houses English Department classrooms and offices as well as the Writing Center. Clara Belle Williams Hall was renamed in February 2005, in honor of Clara Belle Williams, the first black student to graduate from the university.
