This building, home to the Department of Chemistry and Biochemistry, was built in 1957 and was remodeled and expanded in 1996. Home to laboratories, classrooms, research instrumentation and faculty offices, the Chemistry Building is located along the north leg of the "horseshoe" and is one of several buildings containing facilities utilized by the Department of Chemistry. Chemistry graduate students may use facilities at nearby White Sands Missile Range, including a linear accelerator, a deuterium-tritium generator, a fast-burst reactor, counting equipment, and extensive computer equipment.
