      1. SWTDI Aquaculture Greenhouse

        The Southwest Technology Development Institute (SWTDI) is a non-profit, university-based organization that provides applied research and development services for private and public sector clients. SWTDI was established in 1977 as the New Mexico Solar Energy Institute, and has active research programs in energy and related systems. SWTDI?s goal is to promote deployment and use of reliable renewable energy technologies. This building combines aquaculture, the cultivation of aquatic animals, such as fish, shrimp, crayfish, or prawns, in tanks, and hydroponics, the growing of plants in water, to reach the SWTDI's goals of renewable systems.
