Hamer Classroom Building
With a wooden exterior constructed from locally-sourced Hemlock trees, a generous deck at the height of the forest canopy, and large windows welcoming sunlight, the Hamer Classroom Building melts into the forest while offering opportunities for large groups. A common meeting space for Shaver's Creek staff, Penn State students, and teambuilding programs, the Hamer Classroom Building is also available for other Penn State groups to rent. Mere steps from the Visitor Center, and connected to a large outdoor pavilion, it transforms into a gathering space for pancakes, live music, and activities during community events, and is sometimes used for weekend workshops and classes.
