Mountaineer Safe Ride
The mission of the Mountaineer Safe Ride service is to provide a free, safety escort service for students in Boone during the evening hours if they feel uncomfortable walking alone after dark.
Safe Ride is strictly limited to university properties in Boone (parking lots, residence halls and academic buildings). A free, secure ride is available in any main campus building or parking lot in Boone. A secure ride to and from satellite campus locations in Boone is also available from the following locations:
- Mountain Laurel Hall (formerly Appalachian Panhellenic Hall)
- Leon Levine Hall
- State Farm parking lot
