Mountaineer Safe Walk
The mission of the Appalachian State University Mountaineer Safe Walk service is to provide a safety escort service for students during the evening hours. The service area is strictly limited to university properties only (parking lots, residence halls and academic buildings), and is designed specifically to provide assistance to students who may feel uncomfortable walking alone after dark.
Safe Walk is a free, safety escort service available to students in any main campus building or parking lot. A secure ride to and from satellite campus locations is also available from the following locations:
- Mountain Laurel Hall (formerly Appalachian Panhellenic Hall)
- Leon Levine Hall
- 105 parking lot
- State Farm parking lot
