The Admissions Office and Visitor’s Center are located in Roberts Hall—your first stop in discovering Norwich University. From here, you’ll begin exploring America’s first private military college and the birthplace of ROTC.
History: Originally a fraternity house, Roberts Hall was dedicated on June 11, 1955, in memory of Herbert Rufus Roberts. He served Norwich as a teacher, dean, and counselor from 1892 to 1932. A commemorative plaque honors him as “a man of kindly and friendly nature” whose thoughtful leadership and dedication shaped the university for over 40 years.
