This residence for both graduate and undergraduate students is one of several Queen Anne style residences built in 1890 on the north side of Beacon Street west of Kenmore Square for prominent developers W.D. Vinal and George Wheatland, Jr. All, including 832, were designed by Samuel D. Kelley.
