    1. Burling Library

Built in 1959, Burling Library, named for Lucy Burnham Burling, is the main campus library.
There are nearly 470 study spaces for students, some individual and some communal, making it easy to find the perfect spot for a group project or a final paper. Some of the spaces include the “jungle gyms” (multilevel study spots), beanbag chairs, and stationary-bike study desks.

Other highlights include archives and special collections, the print and drawing study room, and the Burling Gallery, as well as Burling Lounge, which hosts speakers and authors throughout the year.
