    1. Spotswood Hall

Named in honor of Alexander Spotswood, a Colonial governor who led the first English expedition into the Shenandoah Valley, Spotswood Hall is a residence hall located in the Bluestone Area of campus. Spotswood Hall was the fifth major building on campus and known originally as Dormitory No. 3.

Spotswood Hall reflects a traditional design of long open hallways with rooms on either side of the main corridor. Most rooms are arranged in suites with two students to a room and two rooms sharing a bath.
