        1. Garfield Park

Garfield Park, established on the city’s south side in 1876, hosts family-friendly events year-round. Movie buffs show up for Vintage Movie Night that features a silent film with live accompaniment; families create arts and crafts almost every Saturday afternoon; and plant-lovers can earn about the conservatory, open for tours twice a month. During the summer, audiences come out for events at the MacAllister Amphitheater, including music festival Holler on the Hill, concerts, and productions by the Garfield Shakespeare Company.
