NIU dedicated this forty-foot steel tower for permanent display on the northwest balcony of the Jack Arends Art Building in 1980. M. A. Lipschultz donated this sculpture to NIU on November 23, 1977 after its previous exhibits at the Chicago Museum of Contemporary Art and Kent State University.
