    1. NANCY RANDOLPH DAVIS

The Nancy Randolph Davis Building at Oklahoma State University is named in honor of Nancy Randolph Davis (April 14, 1926-March 23, 2015), the first Black student to attend the university, then known as Oklahoma A&M College, in 1949. This building, then known as the Human Sciences Building until its rededication on Oct. 23, 2020, was built in 1949. The west edition was completed in 1983. Located on the Stillwater campus, it houses the College of Education and Human Sciences and symbolizes Davis' legacy and contributions to civil rights and education. In 2019, a life-size bronze statue of Davis was unveiled in the courtyard of the building, celebrating her achievements and her impact on the university and the broader community.
