Hike-A-Thon is returning on Saturday, Sept. 9 from 9 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. at the DeWitt Cabin Trailhead: 4831 Oxford Trenton Rd., Oxford, Ohio 45056.
Hike-A-Thon celebrates the outdoors and the exciting progress of the newly paved Oxford Area Trail and Miami University Natural Areas Trail systems. This event is family-friendly, pet friendly (with a leash), and wheelchair accessible. T-shirts and pins will be available with donation, while supplies last.
Hike the new trail to Leonard Howell Park and have lunch from Deez Tacos and ice cream from Duebbie Queen between 11 a.m.-1 p.m., and hike back to DeWitt along the boardwalk at Ruder Preserve and the Marcum Trail, along Four Mile Creek and past the stables. Or, enjoy a hike on a more rustic trail through the Bachelor Preserve.
