      Named for Robert Hamilton Bishop, the first President of Miami (1824-1841). Bishop Hall was originally built as the second women's residence hall. Prior to the construction of Wade MacMillan Hospital in 1923 (MacMillan Hall), portions of Bishop Hall were also used as a hospital, with the whole building being used for this purpose during the influenza epidemic of 1918. More recently the facility houses Honors students.
