Named for Edgar Ewing Brandon served Miami from 1898-1930 as an author, professor of Romance languages, Dean (1912-1931), Vice President (1908-1931) and Acting President of the university (1909-1910 & 1918-1919). Brandon Hall was one of the two companion dormitories built north of Billings Natatorium to accommodate fraternity men who were expected to eat in their respective houses.
