801 Western College Dr., Oxford, OH 45056
The Lodge was a gift from Colonel A.E. Humphreys, a Western College trustee from 1925-27. The building is a replica of Humphreys' hunting lodge near Wagon Wheel Gap in the Rocky Mountains; the unhewn spruce logs were shipped from the property in Colorado, Inside is an imposing stone fireplace, created by Cephas Burns, a noted African American stonemason who lived in Oxford. First used as the YMCA headquarters on the campus, the one-story Lodge eventually became the student recreation center.
