Named for Harvey H. Hiestand, Miami's first professor of Architecture in 1929. He was instrumental in establishing the Dept. of Architecture in the School of Fine Arts and taught until 1943. Located on Maple Street near the Shriver Center, Hiestand houses Graphic Design, Printmaking, Sculpture, Ceramics and Metals studios, as well as the Hiestand Galleries.
