Home to the Doheny family for nearly 60 years, the Doheny Mansion was built in 1899. It was originally created for the Oliver P. Posey family by architects Theodore Eisen and Sumner Hunt. Left to the stewardship of Mount Saint Mary’s University, the Doheny Mansion and all of the surrounding properties on the historic Chester Place now form the University’s downtown campus.
You can find the offices of Institutional Advancement in the Mansion, including the Center for Advancement of Women, CSJ institute, Da Camera Society, Communications & Marketing, and Alumnae Relations. The Center for Inclusive Excellence is also located on the third floor.
