The Penn State Bookstore is typically open on Commencement Day from 9:00 a.m.–6:00 p.m.
Built in 1985, the Penn State Bookstore is a student, faculty, and staff-oriented service center. Located adjacent to the Slep Student Center, the Penn State Bookstore at Altoona is managed under contract with Barnes & Noble Bookstores, Inc. Textbooks, course-packs, and supplies required by instructors for courses offered at Penn State Altoona, as well as apparel, gift items, art supplies, computer software, and other items are available in the Bookstore. All merchandise pricing is reviewed and approved by the University, with proceeds benefiting student scholarships and student-related capital improvements.
