    1. Ellington Hall

Ellington Hall, named in honor of Tennessee Governor Buford Ellington (1959-1962 and 1967-1971), was constructed in 1966. It was the third residence hall on campus to use the double-Y design.

Ellington Hall provides an academic setting with double occupancy rooms in two bedroom suites with connecting baths. The dorm has two units (or Y’s) separated by a common lobby area; the men's unit is on the south and the women's unit is on the north. Each unit houses 264 residents. Private rooms are available for an extra fee only when space permits.
