      1. Michaelsen Hall

         Michaelsen Hall, named in honor of Helen Michaelsen, a home economics professor from 1937 to 1970, embodies the legacy of its namesake. 

         
         Michaelsen serves as the hub for innovative programs including: 

         • Apparel, Textiles, and Merchandising 

         • Child Development and Family Sciences 

         • Family and Consumer Sciences 

         • Hospitality, Tourism, and Event Management 

         • Wine Studies 

         While the new North Academic Complex is being built, the English Department calls Michaelsen home.
