Hendricks Chapel
Hendricks Chapel is located off of Crouse Drive on the west side of the Quad and north of the Carrier Dome on the main campus of Syracuse University in Syracuse, New York. The facility serves as a non- denominational place of worship for all faiths, and also hosts special events. The main chapel and balcony seating are located on the first and second floors. Offices, restrooms, a snack bar, and meeting rooms are located on the basement level. The building was constructed in 1930 and has a structural concrete superstructure. Renovations to the building have occurred in 1969, 1985, and 1999. The primary sloped roofs are lead coated metal seam copper. The flat roof around the dome is a built-up application with pea gravel ballast. Handicapped accessibility renovations have been performed on the basement floor.
