The Data Center is a one-story computer data center located on the main campus of Syracuse University in Syracuse, New York. Constructed in 2009, this data center was designed to use 50 percent less energy with the intent of making this facility one of the “greenest” computer centers in operation. The building has a large open high bay data room and support areas plus a large mechanical space. The exterior facades are a combination of horizontal and vertical metal siding with a flat, multi-level membrane roof. There is a glass entry door and hollow metal staff entry doors and service doors. There is very little exterior glazing, limited to glazing on the north and south centers of the building. The Data Center totals approximately 12,073 gross square feet.
