University Drive will be closed on Thursday, March 14, from 8 a.m. until noon, from the intersection of Center Street to the last parallel parking spot adjacent to the Steam Plant, to allow for the removal of a large tree that has been compromised by the wind and rain.
This will impact parking adjacent to the Steam Plant and vehicle access to Central Dining Hall, and pedestrian traffic will be prohibited during this time.
The parking spots along University Drive between Dauph Blan Street to Center Street will not be affected, and the left turn onto Center Street will remain open. Staff will be in place to assist vehicles entering Center Street from Rivers Street and/or pedestrians needing an alternate route.
