A portion of the Appalachian 105 property, located along North Carolina Highway 105 in Boone, is being developed to offer university-level, competition-grade venues for track, softball and tennis. The new Randy Marion Track and Field Facility was dedicated in April 2023, and construction for Phase 2 of the project which includes a softball field, a team support building and outdoor tennis courts is in the final phases of completion. Phase 3, the indoor tennis facility is now underway.
