Centrally located on campus, Carol Grotnes Belk Library and Information Commons opens its doors to more than a million visitors per year. The library shares its holdings with Western Carolina University and the University of North Carolina at Asheville and features a rich and unique collection —  from rare artifacts of Appalachian history to state-of-the-art technology. Quiet spaces for study, as well as audio and video recording rooms, a digital media studio, a computer lab, a makerspace, faculty lounges and more, are available.

Did you know? The University Writing Center, located on the library’s second floor, is a free resource available to all App State students and faculty, along with members of the Boone community. The center’s consultants are experienced writers and attentive readers who can assist with any aspect of the writing process.

Belk Library is also home to Wired Scholar coffee shop, a Campus Dining venue.
