         Nickname: GLRC (sometimes pronounced "glerk")

         The Great Lakes Research Center (GLRC) is where Michigan Tech researchers tackle some of the world's most pressing freshwater challenges. Located on the Keweenaw Waterway, the facility supports cutting-edge freshwater research, hands-on learning, and collaboration from K–12 outreach through graduate and postdoctoral studies. It’s also home to a fleet of research and survey vessels.

         Inside you'll find:

         • Computational Research Center—one of the most powerful high-performing computer clusters in the region
