      1. Marine Ecosystem Sensing, Observation, and Modeling Lab

         MESOM is a LEED Platinum Certified research building at the Scripps Institution of Oceanography. Sustainable features include central chiller controls, high albedo roof surface, rooftop photovoltaics, recycled building materials, and bioswale landscapes for storm water drainage. LEED and Green Building are a part of UCSD’s carbon neutrality efforts.
