A project to improve the grounds at Andalusia will begin August 11, 2025. The front entry area will be razed to make the Interpretive Center more visible from U.S. Highway 441/North Columbia Street, additional parking will be added, and new fencing and signage will be installed.
Construction fencing will be delivered, Wednesday, Aug. 6. Starting Aug. 11, the main entry to the parking lot will be blocked for the project’s two-month construction period, during which time temporary signage will be posted to direct visitors to alternative parking areas.
Additionally, heating and air conditioning will be installed in the farmhouse at Andalusia Aug. 11.
