The Barner-McDuffie House is a space that celebrates the Black student experience and honors their contributions to the Syracuse University community. The building, which is open to all students on campus, is located at 119 Euclid and is named in honor of Sharon Barner ’79, a Syracuse University trustee, and her husband, Haywood McDuffie. It is the first building on North Campus named by an African American family through philanthropic support.

The Barner-McDuffie House hosts many events, seminars and programs and its individual rooms are available for reservations.

At any time during hours of operation, students are encouraged to come to the space.
