      1. Lyman Hall

Lyman Hall at Syracuse University was completed in 1907. It is located west of College Place and north of Link Hall in Syracuse, New York. Primarily funded by a bequest from retired Board of Trustee member John Lyman, this Renaissance style, six-story brick and Indiana limestone structure is named in honor of Lyman’s two deceased daughters.

The top floor and roof were rebuilt after a fire in 1937, and the building has had subsequent partial renovations over the years, primarily in the mid-1960s and circa 2009. It now houses offices, classrooms, and associated support facilities for the Aging Studies Institute and Environmental Health. It also contains a physical anthropology teaching laboratory, research facilities, and offices for archaeologists from the Maxwell School of Citizenship and Public Affairs.

This historic structure is reported to comprise 97,133 gross square feet.
