      1. Archbold Theatre

        The Regent Theatre Complex in Syracuse, New York, houses the Syracuse University Department of Drama, a component of the University’s College of Visual & Performing Arts. 

        The facility contains three theaters and a cabaret space. The John D. Archbold Theatre is a 499-seat proscenium theater, the Arthur Storch Theatre is a 200-seat proscenium theater, the Black Box Laboratory Theatre seats 65 audience members in a variety of configurations, and the Sutton Pavilion is a versatile cabaret space for late-night entertainment. The building also includes dance studios, design and craft studios, lecture rooms, performance/rehearsal studios, seminar rooms, musical practice rooms, locker rooms, as well as professionally staffed technical shops.   

        The current complex is composed of an original 1919 structure with a number of additions, the last of which was in constructed in 1963. The building has brick veneer, stucco, metal panels, and storefront glazing systems. The roofs are low slope structures with both unballasted single-ply membranes and gravel-ballasted asphaltic roof membranes. The complex encloses a total of 88,507 gross square feet of floor space on two main floors, two partial basements, and two mezzanine spaces.
