      1. Bowne Hall

        Bowne Hall is a four–story lab and office building on the main campus of Syracuse University. Constructed in 1907, this building was formerly a chemistry building but has been renovated several times. The upper floors now house the BioInspired Syracuse Materials Research Core. BioInspired Syracuse supports research into complex biological systems, developing and designing programmable smart materials to address global challenges in health, medicine and materials innovation. The Bursar’s office is located on the first floor. The building contains a mixture of materials research labs, offices, classrooms, and meeting areas. Exterior facades are a mixture of brick and terra cotta and this building is listed on the National Historic Register.
