      1. Hinds Hall

        Hinds Hall at the University of Syracuse is located at 110 Smith Drive Syracuse, New York. Originally constructed circa 1955, this three-story facility, which also has a full basement, partial penthouse mechanical level, and sub-basement, was extensively upgraded in 2003. The local architectural firm of Ashley McGraw was awarded a 2008 American Institute of Architects Central New York Chapter Citation Award for their redesign and renovation of this building. The main structure primarily consists of reinforced concrete and masonry, while the northwest wing has a steel superstructure and glass curtain wall. Hinds Hall now houses offices, meeting rooms, classrooms, and associated support facilities for the School of Information Studies (the iSchool). This building is reported to comprise 66,739 gross square feet.
