      1. Link Hall

Link Hall opened in April 1970. It is named for alumnus and trustee Edwin Albert Link who made a generous donation to support construction of the building.

The six-story building is the home to classrooms, research laboratories and offices for the College of Engineering and Computer Science including a full motion flight simulator on the second floor, the student machine shop in the basement and a sub-sonic wind tunnel in the sub-basement.

In 2008, the five-story Link Plus extension was added to provide additional research laboratory space and construction engineering space.

A renovation of Link Hall began in 2022 that will modernize the building and add the Allyn Innovation Center funded by Life Trustee William “Bill” F. Allyn G’59 and his wife, Janet “Penny” Jones Allyn ’60. The Allyn Innovation Center will serve as a vibrant hub for student services, creativity and collaboration.
