      1. James Hall

One of the south residence halls, James Hall is substance-free. The hall is named for Mary B. James, a respected and revered schoolteacher in the Grinnell community. The hall was built in 1915, at which time it was home to only female students.

James has three lounges, a kitchen, and a trunk room for storage, as well as easy access to laundry facilities and computer labs in neighboring halls.
